Bruins Sign Prospect Hagens to 3-Year Deal

The Boston Bruins have officially signed forward James Hagens to a three-year entry-level contract. The deal carries an average annual value of $975,000 and is set to begin with the 2025-26 season, allowing the 19-year-old prospect to make his NHL debut. Hagens has been developing with the Providence team on an amateur tryout contract since departing Boston College after his sophomore year. He has already made an impact in the AHL, tallying one goal and three assists in six games. This signing secures Hagens' future with the Bruins, providing them with a young talent.

With the regular season nearing its end, Hagens is eligible to join the Bruins for their remaining games. His contract ensures he will have two years left on his entry-level deal following the conclusion of the current season. Hagens' potential role with the Bruins could see him slotting in as a left wing on the third line, potentially alongside other young players. The team has been evaluating various forward combinations in recent games.
