Browns Sign Judkins After Domestic Violence Charges Dropped
6 Sep
Summary
- Browns sign 2nd round pick Quinshon Judkins
- Judkins faced domestic violence charges earlier this summer
- Charges were dropped due to lack of evidence and witnesses

On September 6th, 2025, the Cleveland Browns officially signed their second-round pick, Quinshon Judkins, after the former Ohio State and Ole Miss star had charges for alleged domestic violence dropped earlier this summer. The NFL is still conducting an investigation into the alleged incident, but Judkins is now a member of the Browns' roster.
When the Browns drafted Judkins with the 36th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the plan was for him to help replace longtime standout running back Nick Chubb, who signed with the Houston Texans this offseason. However, Judkins' future with the team was in question after he was arrested in July and faced battery charges for an alleged domestic violence incident in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, before signing his contract.
In August, the state attorney's office announced they had declined to pursue charges against Judkins, citing a lack of evidence and witnesses. Now, nearly five months after being drafted, Judkins has officially joined the Browns, though he will not be available to play in the team's Week 1 opener against the Bengals on Sunday.
