Summary
- Rookie RB Quinshon Judkins arrested on battery, domestic violence charges
- Browns GM unsure when Judkins will join team, still gathering information
- Browns dealing with off-field issues with 2 recent draft picks

The Cleveland Browns are facing an uncertain situation with their 2023 second-round draft pick, Quinshon Judkins. The rookie running back remains unsigned after he was arrested on July 12th in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on charges of battery and domestic violence.
Browns general manager Andrew Berry indicated that the team is still in the "information-gathering stage" regarding Judkins' situation and is unsure when he will be able to join the team for training camp. Berry acknowledged that sometimes the information comes more slowly in these types of cases.
This is the second straight summer the Browns have had to deal with off-field incidents involving their draft picks. In 2022, the team's second-round pick, defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr., was arrested during training camp on a domestic violence charge. Hall pleaded no contest to a reduced charge of disorderly conduct but was suspended five games by the NFL.

Berry expressed his frustration over the amount of time and resources the organization has had to spend on educating players and the entire team about these issues. He also addressed another recent incident involving rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who was ticketed twice in June for speeding.
