- Ja'Quan McMillian's overtime interception set up the winning field goal.
- Broncos secured a 17-14 victory over Seattle in overtime.
- Denver's defense overcame significant injuries to secure the win.
The Denver Broncos clinched a dramatic 17-14 overtime victory against Seattle on Thursday night, largely thanks to a pivotal interception by Ja'Quan McMillian. Moments after McMillian's late-game heroics, Wil Lutz sealed the win with a 53-yard field goal.
Denver's defense, hampered by injuries to key players like Pat Surtain II and Talanoa Hufanga, showcased resilience throughout the game. Reserve cornerbacks Jahdae Barron and Kris Abrams-Draine provided strong play, stepping up in the absence of starters.
Offensively, the Broncos managed two touchdown drives in the first half, spearheaded by runs from J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey. However, the offense struggled to maintain momentum in the second half, particularly after head coach Sean Payton assumed play-calling duties.
Despite offensive challenges, the defense held strong, limiting Seattle's yardage and forcing turnovers. McMillian's late interception in overtime proved to be the decisive play, securing Denver's fourth win of the season. The team now has a 10-day rest before their next matchup against Arizona.
