Broncos Roster Shakeup: Defensive Lineman Dwumfour Signed, Linebacker Brown Waived
21 Aug
Summary
- Broncos sign defensive lineman Michael Dwumfour, waive undrafted linebacker JB Brown
- Brown was expected to make the team but fell behind other undrafted signings
- Dwumfour has had a nomadic NFL career with multiple teams since going undrafted in 2021
On August 21, 2025, the Denver Broncos made a roster move, signing defensive lineman Michael Dwumfour and waiving undrafted linebacker JB Brown. Brown, who was signed out of Kansas, was a pick by many to make the Broncos' roster this year, but he has been lost in the shuffle at the inside linebacker position.
Dwumfour, who went undrafted out of Michigan in 2021, has had a nomadic NFL career, with stints on the rosters of the New York Jets, Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers, Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans, Chicago Bears, and the Broncos' practice squad. With just one preseason game left to play, Dwumfour is not expected to make the Broncos' 53-man roster, but he will be looking to impress the coaching staff and earn a spot on the team's 16-man practice squad.
As for Brown, he will now have to hope that another team gives him a look and gets him on the field for one more preseason game to have the same opportunity. In two preseason games with the Broncos, Brown was credited with two tackles.
