2 Aug
Summary
- Broncos sign Zach Allen to 4-year, $103M extension
- Extension includes $69.5M in guarantees
- Allen played 89% of Broncos' defensive snaps last season

In a move to solidify their defensive core, the Denver Broncos have reached a four-year, $103 million extension with defensive end Zach Allen. The deal, which will begin in 2026, includes $69.5 million in guaranteed money and will keep Allen in Denver through the 2029 season.
Allen, who is currently in the final year of a three-year, $45.75 million contract, has been a key contributor to the Broncos' defense over the past two seasons. Last year, he played a whopping 89% of the team's defensive snaps and was named a second-team All-Pro. His career-best 40 quarterback knockdowns and 8.5 sacks in 2024 were instrumental in the Broncos setting a franchise record with 63 sacks.
The Broncos' decision to extend Allen comes just six days after they signed wide receiver Courtland Sutton to a long-term deal. With these two key players locked up, the team can now focus on addressing the contract situation of outside linebacker Nik Bonitto, who is in the final year of his rookie deal.
