The Denver Broncos are set to kick off their 2026 NFL season on Monday Night Football against the Kansas City Chiefs. This highly anticipated matchup marks the start of a new campaign filled with both familiar rivalries and new faces.
The Broncos' offense will feature the debut of wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, acquired to enhance their passing game, particularly against zone coverage. Running back Jonah Coleman is also expected to make an impact, providing depth and improving efficiency in short-yardage and red zone situations.
On the defensive side, defensive lineman Eyioma Uwazurike is poised for a significant role. After an impressive performance last season, he will start alongside other key players, aiming to bolster the Broncos' run defense against a Chiefs team with a revamped ground attack.
A major storyline for the Broncos is their opportunity to extend their winning streak against the Chiefs to four games. This victory would not only secure an important AFC West win but also provide a significant confidence boost as they face a challenging early-season schedule.
