Her daughter Sterling, around ten months old in early 2025, was diagnosed with milk, egg, and dairy allergies. Her son Bronze developed a severe peanut allergy at eight months old in late 2024.

These diagnoses have profoundly impacted daily life, requiring meticulous planning for meals, outings, and social events. Brittany ensures her children, Sterling and Bronze, have safe food options, often packing extra snacks for other children to ensure inclusivity. She also emphasizes training caregivers on using epinephrine auto-injectors like AUVI-Q.

In early 2024, Mahomes partnered with Kaleo, the makers of AUVI-Q, launching the Food Allergy Game Plan resource hub to raise awareness.
