The 2026 Bridgestone Tour B X golf ball has experienced a remarkably strong debut on the PGA Tour, accumulating two victories in less than a month. Chris Gotterup secured his second win of the season at the WM Phoenix Open using the new Tour B X, following his first win three weeks prior. This new model features a Velo Surge core material, which Bridgestone's testing indicated provides an average increase of 2.3 mph in ball speed and an additional 8.7 yards of distance compared to previous Tour B models.
Tiger Woods has also noted an increase in ball speed with the new Tour B X and confirmed his intention to use it upon his return to competition in 2026. Gotterup, who has played the Tour B X since signing with Bridgestone in 2023, described it as the best golf ball he has ever played, praising its combination of distance off the tee and control around the greens. The MindSet version of the ball, which Gotterup uses, incorporates a visual cue developed with Jason Day to aid players in focusing during their swing.
For golfers with swing speeds under 105 mph, Bridgestone offers the softer Tour B RX and Tour B RXS models. Gotterup's recent performance at the WM Phoenix Open included an opening round of 63 and a final round of 64, culminating in a playoff victory where he birdied six of his last seven holes.
