Brian Kelly Debuts in Booth for NDSU's FBS Opener

College football coaching veteran Brian Kelly is stepping into the broadcast booth for North Dakota State's upcoming season opener. CBS Sports announced that Kelly, formerly the head coach for Notre Dame and LSU, will be the analyst for NDSU's game against Jacksonville State on August 29 at the Fargodome.
This matchup is particularly historic as it signifies North Dakota State's first game as a Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) program. For Brian Kelly, this will be his debut calling a college football game in an analyst role. He previously coached for 22 years, achieving significant success with a 113-40 record at Notre Dame and a 34-14 record at LSU.
Following his departure from LSU in mid-October of the previous season, Kelly has transitioned to television work. In addition to his game analysis, he will also be a studio host for CBS Sports' 'Inside College Football' program and cover select Mountain West Conference games. North Dakota State is entering its inaugural season in the Mountain West Conference.
The broadcast crew for the NDSU-Jacksonville State game will also include a play-by-play announcer and a sideline reporter, to be announced later by CBS. Separately, The CW network has unveiled its broadcast teams for its Mountain West games, featuring Jack McMullen, Cody Kessler, and Marshall Newhouse as the lead crew for five NDSU games scheduled on the network.
