21 Oct
Summary
- Brandon Woodruff's World Series roster status remains uncertain.
- The Brewers will announce their World Series roster on Friday morning.
- Jacob Misiorowski is slated to start Game 1 of the World Series.
The Milwaukee Brewers are on the cusp of revealing their final roster for the 2026 World Series clash with the Tampa Bay Rays. This crucial announcement is scheduled for Friday morning. The team's ace, Jacob Misiorowski, has been designated as the Game 1 starter.
The primary uncertainty surrounding the roster involves pitcher Brandon Woodruff. His potential return from injury is a significant factor; if included, another player must be removed. Woodruff took a notable step forward on Tuesday by facing live hitters, a final hurdle in his recovery process.
Projected roster inclusions feature William Contreras and Gary Sanchez at catcher, while infielders Jake Bauers, Brice Turang, and Cooper Pratt are expected to play significant roles. The outfield will likely include Jackson Chourio, Luis Lara, Garrett Mitchell, and Sal Frelick. Christian Yelich is set to serve as the designated hitter. The starting rotation is projected to feature Misiorowski, Logan Henderson, Dustin May, and Robert Gasser.
