On August 19, 2025, the Atlanta Braves have made a series of roster moves to bolster their team ahead of the upcoming playoffs. The Braves have claimed outfielder Jake Fraley off waivers from the Cincinnati Reds, where he was batting .232 with six home runs and 23 RBIs in 67 games this season.
In addition, the Braves have recalled right-handed pitchers Dane Dunning and Connor Seabold from their Triple-A affiliate in Gwinnett. Dunning, who was acquired in a trade last month, has a combined nine relief appearances for the Texas Rangers and Braves this year, while Seabold is set to make his first appearance with the Braves after being claimed off waivers from the Tampa Bay Rays.
To make room on the roster, the Braves have optioned right-handers Hunter Stratton and Daysbel Hernandez to Gwinnett. Stratton has a 7.27 ERA in six relief appearances this season, while Hernandez was 4-2 with a 2.72 ERA in 38 relief appearances for the Braves earlier this year.
