Bollywood Star Ajith Experiences the Thrill of Electric Racing

In September 2025, popular Indian actor Ajith Kumar was given the chance to test drive the Mahindra Formula E Gen 2 car at a location in Andalucia, Spain. This allowed him to experience the electric race car firsthand and interact with members of the Mahindra Formula E team.

Following the test drive, Ajith publicly acknowledged his gratitude to Mahindra Chairman Anand Mahindra and the Mahindra Formula E team for providing him with this wonderful opportunity. He also thanked racing driver Nyck de Vries for sharing his experiences and suggestions, which helped Ajith adapt to the car.

Ajith, who has taken a break from his film work to focus on his racing career, expressed his plans to be part of various championships in the coming year. He stated that he would need to find a balance between his film and racing commitments, and he hopes to use motorsports as a platform to promote Indian cinema. Ajith plans to feature a special logo on his car that says "Indian Cinema" starting from his next racing series.
