McMann's Kraken Debut: 2 Goals, 1 Assist in Dominant Win
15 Mar
Summary
- Bobby McMann scored two goals and an assist in his Seattle Kraken debut.
- The Kraken acquired McMann for multiple draft picks prior to the trade deadline.
- McMann's impact was immediate, contributing to a 5-2 victory over the Canucks.
Bobby McMann, recently acquired by the Seattle Kraken, made a significant impact in his debut game on March 15, 2026, contributing three points in a 5-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks.
Despite the game being on the road, McMann, a former Toronto Maple Leafs player, looked comfortable in his new jersey, scoring late in the first period and early in the third. His acquisition by the Kraken cost them a 2026 fourth-round pick and a 2027 second-round pick.
Visa issues had delayed McMann's debut, but once resolved, he quickly proved his worth to his new team. The Toronto Maple Leafs received compensation for the soon-to-be free agent, avoiding a complete loss. However, seeing McMann perform so effectively immediately after his departure likely stings for the Leafs.
