Summary
- 2026 NRL season to start in Las Vegas with double-header
- Grand Final rematch between Storm and Broncos in Round 3
- High-profile player moves, including Jonah Pezet and Daly Cherry-Evans

The 2026 NRL season is set to be an exciting one, with the league kicking off in Las Vegas on Sunday, March 1 with a double-header. The first game on Australian soil will see the Storm and Eels go head-to-head, with the Eels looking to avenge a 56-18 loss to the Storm in the corresponding fixture last season.
One of the most anticipated matchups of the season will be the Grand Final rematch between the Storm and Broncos in Round 3, which will take place at AAMI Park. The two teams will also clash again in Round 26 at Suncorp Stadium. Elsewhere, Daly Cherry-Evans won't have to wait long to take on his old team, the Sea Eagles, with the two sides meeting in Round 4.
The off-season saw several high-profile player moves, including Jonah Pezet joining the Eels from the Storm on a one-year deal before linking up with the Broncos in 2027. Reed Mahoney will also have a point to prove when the Cowboys face the Bulldogs in Round 9, after leaving the club to join Todd Payten's side.
