Bixby Aims for 8th Straight Title vs. Owasso

The Bixby Spartans are on the cusp of an eighth consecutive state football championship, a remarkable dynastic run in Oklahoma. They are set to face familiar rival Owasso in the Class 6A-I title game on Saturday night at Chad Richison Stadium in Edmond. This encounter marks the fourth straight year these two powerhouse teams will compete for the championship, with Bixby having secured a thrilling overtime victory in their previous title game.

Owasso enters the contest looking to avenge last season's narrow loss and an earlier regular-season defeat to Bixby. However, the Spartans have demonstrated consistent dominance throughout the 21st century, accumulating 10 state titles since 2014, with their only championship miss in that period occurring in 2017. Their current winning streak in title games underscores their exceptional performance and program consistency.

This championship matchup highlights Bixby's unparalleled success in recent years, aiming to further etch their name in the annals of high school football history. The game promises to be a hard-fought contest, with both teams bringing significant achievements and motivations to the field for the coveted state crown.
