This marks her second Commonwealth medal, following a silver won at the previous edition. Devi's journey to the podium involved a total lift of 199kg, comprising 87kg in the snatch and 112kg in the clean and jerk. While Nigeria's Rafiatu Lawal claimed gold with a record-breaking 229kg total, Devi's effort was sufficient for bronze. She previously won silver in the 55kg category at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and has since transitioned to the 58kg division, also achieving national records at the 2025 National Games.
