Summary
- Bills need Sunday win to keep AFC East title hopes alive.
- Significant offensive and defensive personnel changes since Week 5.
- Bills face unusual injury luck, but some key players may return.
The Buffalo Bills must secure a victory against the New England Patriots this Sunday to keep their AFC East division title aspirations alive. This crucial game comes after a five-year streak of winning the division, highlighting the high stakes involved.
Since their last encounter in Week 5, a 23-20 loss, the Bills have significantly altered their roster, particularly on offense with changes at wide receiver, and on defense, with key players returning to the defensive tackle rotation. These strategic shifts, including new defensive substitution packages, indicate a revamped team identity.
Despite a season marked by unusual injury misfortune, the Bills are seeing some positive signs with players practicing. However, a late-season toe injury to top cornerback Christian Benford poses a significant concern, potentially impacting the team's defensive capabilities. The outcome of this game is pivotal for their playoff path.
