Bills Bench Star Receiver Keon Coleman for Missing Team Meeting

On November 16, 2025, the Buffalo Bills announced that wide receiver Keon Coleman will be a healthy scratch for their upcoming game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This decision is not related to Coleman's on-field performance, but rather due to the fact that he missed a team meeting on Friday morning.

Prior to the missed meeting, the Bills had planned to play Coleman in the game. The 2024 second-round pick has been a productive part of the Bills' offense this season, recording 32 receptions for 330 yards and 3 touchdowns. His best performance came in Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens, where he caught 8 passes for 112 yards and a touchdown.

In addition to benching Coleman, the Bills have also elevated wide receiver Gabe Davis from the practice squad. Davis has not played in a game since suffering a torn left meniscus while with the Jacksonville Jaguars last November. This will be his first appearance with the Bills since 2023.

The Bills have also signed wide receiver/returner Mecole Hardman to the active roster from the practice squad ahead of the game against the Buccaneers.

Head coach Sean McDermott addressed Coleman's situation, stating that the team addresses any issues with a player's effort when it is not up to par. McDermott acknowledged that Coleman's performance has been good at times, but there is room for improvement.
