Summary
- Fiorentina agreed an €18m deal for Everton striker Beto.
- Beto's transfer frees Moise Kean to join Como.
- Joshua Zirkzee's Juventus interest stalled Fiorentina's pursuit.
Fiorentina has secured a deal worth €17-18 million for Everton striker Beto, finalizing their transfer plans. This acquisition was crucial as Fiorentina needed a replacement before allowing Moise Kean to leave.
Initially, Fiorentina had targeted Joshua Zirkzee from Manchester United. However, Zirkzee's strong desire to join Juventus led Fiorentina to abandon that pursuit. Juventus's offer for Zirkzee was facilitated by Atletico Madrid's pursuit of Jonathan David, creating a complex web of negotiations.
With Zirkzee's move stalled, Fiorentina pivoted to Beto, agreeing to terms with Everton. Beto, a former Udinese player, is expected to undergo his medical in Italy on Monday. This agreement effectively frees Moise Kean, who can now finalize his loan move to Como, which includes a €30 million purchase option.
