14 May
Summary
- Bengals explore adding veteran cornerback Kenny Moore II.
- Moore was recently released by the Indianapolis Colts.
- A one-year deal for Moore could boost competition and depth.
The Cincinnati Bengals are evaluating the potential acquisition of veteran cornerback Kenny Moore II, following his recent release by the Indianapolis Colts. This consideration arises as the Bengals' cornerback depth, despite drafting Tacario Davis, remains a point of focus. Moore, a former Pro Bowl selection, brings significant experience, having played his entire career with the Colts.
Moore's availability presents an opportunity for the Bengals to enhance their secondary. A one-year contract could provide crucial insurance and elevate competition within the cornerback room. His veteran presence would offer daily challenges to younger players and receivers during training camp.
Despite falling off some in 2025, Moore demonstrated solid performance in 2023 and 2024. He remains a strong run defender. The Bengals, operating under tight salary cap constraints, may not enter a bidding war, but the allure of playing with Joe Burrow and competing for a championship could attract Moore.
