The Baseball Hall of Fame welcomed two new members on Tuesday: Carlos Beltran and Andruw Jones. Beltran achieved enshrinement in his fourth year of eligibility, securing 84.2% of the BBWAA ballots. Jones earned his place in the Hall in his ninth year, narrowly passing the threshold with 78.4% of the votes.
Beltran's illustrious 20-year career featured nine All-Star selections and three Gold Gloves. He amassed 2,725 hits, 435 home runs, and 312 stolen bases, becoming one of only four players to reach these milestones.
Jones, known for his legendary defensive prowess in center field, will be the first player from Curacao inducted. Over 17 seasons, he recorded 434 home runs and won 10 Gold Glove awards, cementing his legacy as one of baseball's premier outfielders.
