20 May
Summary
- Tony Bellew says Tyson Fury must accept Oleksandr Usyk is superior.

- Usyk's footwork and timing were key factors in Bellew's defeat.
Tony Bellew, a former world champion, has advised Tyson Fury to accept that Oleksandr Usyk proved to be the superior fighter. Bellew, who previously fought Usyk in a cruiserweight undisputed title bout in 2018, knows firsthand the Ukrainian's capabilities. Usyk stopped Bellew in the eighth round of their Manchester fight.
Bellew described Usyk as an 'elite-level freak,' highlighting his incredible footwork and timing. He recalled that his game plan was perfect until Usyk's relentless pressure and tactics became overwhelming. Bellew stated that Usyk is the only fighter he ever faced where he felt inferior and couldn't figure out.
Having lost his undisputed heavyweight title fight to Usyk in 2024, Fury has insisted he deserved the decision, particularly in their rematch. Bellew argues that Fury should simply praise Usyk's abilities rather than questioning the results, suggesting that Fury's biggest heartbreak is meeting someone better than him.
