Bears kicker delivers under immense pressure

Bears kicker Cairo Santos demonstrated remarkable resilience by converting a 48-yard game-winning field goal as time expired, clinching a crucial 19-17 victory for his team. This clutch performance followed a missed attempt earlier in the same game, highlighting Santos' ability to overcome adversity and maintain confidence. His kicking prowess was further evident as he achieved a career-long 54-yard field goal, breaking the Bears' franchise record for kicks of 50 yards or more. This accomplishment underscores his reliability in high-pressure situations and his consistent performance over the past few seasons. Despite facing challenges and past misses this season, Santos expressed unwavering confidence in his abilities, likening his mindset to a golfer sinking a long putt. He feels he is finding his groove at an opportune time, aiming to contribute significantly to the Bears' playoff aspirations.
