The Cincinnati Bearcats football program has extended a scholarship offer to Nicholas Pollack, the son of former Cincinnati Bengals first-round pick and ESPN analyst David Pollack. Nicholas, a junior at North Oconee High School in Bogart, Georgia, plays tight end and outside linebacker. He stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 220 pounds, with impressive athletic measurables including a 36-inch vertical leap and a 10-foot broad jump.
On the same day the Bearcats offered Nicholas, Wake Forest also extended a scholarship. UC tight end coach Josh Stepp made the offer to Nicholas and also offered his North Oconee teammate, Kelvin Millington, a 6-foot-4 junior.
David Pollack, a college football Hall of Famer, had a brief NFL career with the Bengals before a career-ending neck injury in 2006. He transitioned to broadcasting, notably with ESPN's College GameDay, and hosts a podcast. His son Nicholas, while not yet rated by recruiting services, is showing early promise.
Nicholas also competes in basketball and baseball for North Oconee. With one season remaining in his high school career, further development and increased attention are anticipated for the talented young athlete.
