22 Nov
Summary
- Temba Bavuma will captain South Africa in the upcoming ODI series against India.
- Kagiso Rabada is ruled out due to a rib injury sustained in training.
- Quinton de Kock, who recently retired from ODIs, is back in the squad.

Temba Bavuma will lead the South African ODI side against India in a three-match series set to take place between November 30 and December 6. However, the Proteas will be without key fast bowler Kagiso Rabada, who has been sent home to recover from a rib injury sustained during training. This series also marks the return of Quinton de Kock to the ODI squad.
De Kock had recently announced his retirement from ODI cricket but has been selected following his stellar performance against Pakistan, where he was the leading run-scorer. Despite de Kock's inclusion, Luhan de Pretorius, who performed well in the Pakistan series, was not selected for the upcoming India fixtures.
In other team news, Aiden Markram and Anrich Nortje are set to return to the T20I squad for the series against India starting December 9. Markram will captain the T20I side, taking over from Donnovan Ferreria, and Keshav Maharaj also returns to the white-ball setup.
