26 Aug
Summary

- Portnoy claims Ohio State barred him and Barstool from campus
- Ongoing feud between Portnoy and Ohio State over Michigan rivalry

According to reports from the past few hours, a heated dispute has erupted between Ohio State University and Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, a well-known Michigan superfan. Initially, it was reported that Ohio State had placed a ban on Portnoy, preventing him from entering the Ohio Stadium for the season's kick-off game against the Texas Longhorns.
However, in a later update, Ohio State's athletic director Ross Bjork clarified that the university had not imposed any such ban on Portnoy. Bjork stated that the decision for Portnoy not to appear on the main desk of the Big Noon Kickoff pregame show was made by Fox, the broadcaster of the game, and that those not on the main desk typically do not have field access.
Despite Bjork's denial, Portnoy has vehemently disputed the athletic director's claims. In a video, Portnoy alleged that Ohio State's administration had indeed barred him and his Barstool Sports show from being present on the university's campus. He further claimed that Fox had wanted him to be part of the pregame coverage, but Ohio State's actions prevented this.

Portnoy's comments have only intensified the ongoing rivalry between him and Ohio State, as he has been a long-time supporter of the Buckeyes' arch-rival, the University of Michigan. He has gone as far as to call Ohio State the "boogeyman" and claimed that the program has not beaten Michigan in a decade.
This latest clash between Portnoy and Ohio State is sure to add more fuel to the fire of one of college football's most intense rivalries, as the two sides continue to trade accusations and engage in a war of words.
