In a recent development, the Bangladesh women's cricket team has been grappling with the emotional aftermath of a narrow defeat. According to batter Sobhana Mostary, the team did not get any sleep for four days following their loss to Sri Lanka on October 24th.
Mostary explained that the team management has been actively trying to maintain a positive atmosphere within the squad, avoiding any negative discussions. The 23-year-old praised the team's captain, Nigar Sultana Joty, for her calming influence and guidance, particularly for the younger players.
"Joty she captain like it's awesome to us because we played a long time with her last 10 years and she is like a very cool guy," Mostary said. "She is always coming and telling the way to ball and way to bat."
Despite the disappointment of the previous match, the team is now focused on their upcoming clash against India on October 27th. Mostary revealed that the team has discussed ways to rectify their batting errors and plans to trouble the Indian batters with their strong spin bowling attack.
"We talked about how the batters could correct their mistakes so that they don't repeat them in the next match," Mostary said. "We will try to be attacking in our bowling and show strong batting performance."
The Bangladesh team's resilience and determination to bounce back from their narrow defeat will be put to the test in their final match of the tournament.
