MACtion: Ball State Battles UMass for Bowl Hopes

Ball State football is entering a critical phase of its schedule with a road game against UMass as part of the midweek MACtion slate. The Cardinals, holding a 3-5 overall record and a 2-2 record in conference play, are aiming to extend their current two-game conference winning streak. Their opponent, UMass, stands at 4-4 overall and 1-3 in the Mid-American Conference, seeking to end a four-game losing skid that followed a promising 4-0 start to their season.

This matchup holds significant weight for both programs, as a victory would bolster their outside chances of securing a Mid-American Conference championship and improve their prospects for bowl eligibility. The historical series between Ball State and UMass is evenly split, with each team having won two of their four previous encounters. Kickoff was scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
