Aussie Punters Dominate the Big 12 Gridiron

As of October 1st, 2025, the Big 12 conference is experiencing a remarkable influx of Australian punting talent. A staggering 9 out of the top 15 punters in the league this season are from Australia, showcasing the country's prowess in the kicking game.

These Aussie punters are making their mark on the American gridiron, combining for an impressive average of 44.1 yards per boot. They have also pinned their opponents inside the 20-yard line on 55 occasions, demonstrating their ability to strategically flip the field. Leading the pack is TCU's Ethan Craw, who boasts the longest punt of the season at 69 yards.

The influx of Australian talent can be attributed, in part, to the Prokick Australia program, which has been instrumental in preparing these players for the transition to American football. The program teaches the proper techniques, skills, and strategies required to excel as a punter in the NCAA and beyond. Since its inception in 2007, Prokick Australia has produced numerous All-Americans and Ray Guy award winners, with around 85 of its alumni currently playing in American college or professional football.
