Summary
- Cameron Green to miss India ODIs due to side soreness
- Marnus Labuschagne replaces Green in Australia's ODI squad
- Australia makes 3 forced changes for 1st ODI against India

As of October 18th, 2025, Australian all-rounder Cameron Green will be missing the three-match ODI series against India starting this Sunday in Perth. Green is sidelined due to side soreness, with the selectors not wanting to risk him ahead of the crucial Ashes series against England next month.
To replace Green, Marnus Labuschagne has been drafted into the Australian ODI squad. Labuschagne, who was not part of the initial squad, earned his call-up following a strong performance in the Sheffield Shield, scoring 159 runs for Queensland on Thursday.
This is the third forced change Australia has had to make to their lineup for the first ODI against India. Earlier, Josh Phillippe replaced the injured Josh Inglis, while Matthew Kuhnemann is set to play in place of Adam Zampa, who will miss the game due to personal reasons. Additionally, Australia's regular captain Pat Cummins has also been ruled out of the entire ODI series due to a lower-back issue.
The focus of the India-Australia ODI series will be on the return of star batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, who are making their national team comebacks after becoming one-format players following their Test retirements.
