Audi F1 Car Hits Track Ahead of 2026 Debut

Audi has commenced its Formula 1 journey with the first track running of its 2026 challenger at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The German marque has transformed the former Sauber outfit into a works team, developing its own power unit to meet the sport's new technical regulations.

This marks a significant progression in Audi's ambitious F1 program. The team recently completed a full takeover of the Sauber Group, integrating its operations and preparing for its official launch event in Berlin on January 20. The successful first fire-up of the car on January 7 demonstrated integrated component functionality.

Veteran driver Nico Hulkenberg and promising Brazilian talent Gabriel Bortoleto were at the helm during the filming day. Their participation underscores the team's strategy of blending experienced leadership with emerging talent as they gear up for their highly anticipated debut season.
