Auburn Upsets Alabama in Thrilling 2019 Iron Bowl Clash

Two years ago, in the 2019 Iron Bowl, then-freshman quarterback Bo Nix led Auburn to a thrilling 48-45 upset victory over their in-state rivals, Alabama. Nix, who is now preparing for his final season at Auburn, reflected on the intense nature of the Iron Bowl, saying he sometimes "hates Alabama more than he likes Auburn."

Despite the 2019 triumph, Auburn faces an uphill battle to make the College Football Playoff this season. They have the 14th hardest schedule in the country and only a 12% chance of making the playoff, according to ESPN's FPI. Meanwhile, Alabama remains a top contender, with a 66.2% chance of making the CFP and over 10% odds of winning the national championship.
