ASU Volleyball Rings in Big 12 Title with Home Opener

Arizona State volleyball, the two-time reigning Big 12 champions, will return to Tempe for their 2026 season home opener on September 10 against UC Davis. This highly anticipated game will also feature a Big 12 championship ring ceremony for the team.
ASU has already showcased its prowess by upsetting No. 2 Texas in their season opener on August 22 and sweeping No. 14 Minnesota on August 28. During these early matchups, Wisconsin transfer Una Vajagic stood out, accumulating 45 kills, including 20 against Minnesota. Freshman setter Elle Mottola earned Big 12 Freshman of the Week honors on September 1, following her first career double-double against Minnesota with 42 assists and 10 digs.
Mottola's collegiate debut against Texas was exceptional, guiding ASU to a victory with 31 assists, seven digs, and four blocks, earning her AVCA MVP honors for the match. The Snyder-Park Classic, named after legendary coach Patti Snyder-Park (1989-2002), runs from September 10-12 at Desert Financial Arena. The tournament will also feature Oregon, San Diego, and UC Davis, with ASU scheduled to play Oregon on September 11 and San Diego on September 12.
