The Houston Astros evened their series against the Los Angeles Dodgers with a hard-fought 2-1 win in their most recent matchup. This vital victory followed a defeat in the series opener.
Key to the Astros' success was the exceptional pitching of ace Peter Lambert. He delivered a dominant performance, holding the NL West team scoreless through seven innings and shutting down their offense.
The Los Angeles Dodgers are now in a precarious position, facing the possibility of a third consecutive loss. They head into the final game of the series on Wednesday.
