Aston Villa Lands PSG Wonderkid Mbaye for £47M

Aston Villa announced the acquisition of Senegalese winger Ibrahim Mbaye from Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday, with a reported transfer fee of £47 million.

Mbaye, a promising young talent, made 42 appearances for PSG since his 2024 debut and won numerous titles, including two Champions League trophies. He recently featured for Senegal in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, notably scoring against France, becoming the youngest African to score in the men's tournament.

This signing is the latest for Aston Villa, who have been active in the transfer market.
