England forwards Noni Madueke and Alessia Russo, along with former Arsenal player Alex Scott, recently joined Tashan Daniel's parents for a walk in north London. This event commemorated the fifth year of Arsenal's 'No More Red' campaign, which partners with Adidas to combat youth violence. Tashan Daniel, an aspiring athlete and photographer, was tragically stabbed to death in September 2019 on his way to watch Arsenal play.
The 'No More Red' initiative, previously recognized individuals with an all-white kit, now shifts focus to deeper discussions about community safety programs. Arsenal in the Community has funded pitch refurbishments and supported over 50 young people into opportunities. The club emphasizes its commitment to being a positive influence and sharing the community's pain in the fight against knife crime.
