Mavropanos: Arsenal's Former Defender Eyeing Premier League Return
11 Jul
Summary
- Konstantinos Mavropanos is attracting interest from several Premier League clubs.
- Arsenal is reportedly considering a move for their former defender.
- Mavropanos is expected to leave West Ham United this summer.
Konstantinos Mavropanos, who previously played for Arsenal, is now a target for several leading Premier League clubs following West Ham's relegation. Mavropanos was originally a signing during the transition period after Arsene Wenger's departure and did not establish himself as a regular starter before leaving in 2022.
He rejoined the Premier League with West Ham last year and has been a key figure, producing solid performances despite the team's demotion. Sky Sports reports that Arsenal is among the interested parties, with clubs believing Mavropanos can bolster their defenses for the upcoming season.
A return to Arsenal is said to appeal to Mavropanos, even with the understanding that regular starts might be unlikely due to the club's current defensive strength. However, multiple clubs are reportedly in contention, meaning Arsenal faces competition to secure his signature as he evaluates his next career move.
