In a dominant performance, Arsenal have extended their lead at the top of the Premier League with a 2-0 victory over Burnley. The Gunners struck twice in the first half to secure all three points and make it nine straight wins in all competitions.
Viktor Gyökeres opened the scoring in the 14th minute, nodding in from close range after a well-worked corner routine. Declan Rice then doubled Arsenal's advantage in the 35th minute, powering home a header from Leandro Trossard's cross.
Burnley were unable to muster a single shot on target in the first half, as Arsenal's defensive solidity and clinical finishing proved too much for the hosts. The Gunners could have led by more at the break, but for some fine saves from Burnley goalkeeper Martin Dúbravka.
