Arteta singled out Martin Zubimendi for exceptional praise, highlighting his "phenomenal" all-around performance, including scoring Arsenal's third goal. He likened Zubimendi's qualities to those of Declan Rice, emphasizing his ability to carry the ball, dribble, win duels, and demonstrate composure in front of goal.

Chelsea, managed by Liam Rosenior in his first game, was significantly hampered by numerous player absences. Injuries, illness, and suspensions meant key players like Reece James, Cole Palmer, and Moises Caicedo were unavailable, a situation Rosenior acknowledged while praising his team's bravery and taking responsibility for any goalkeeper errors.
