Oliver Glasner, manager of Nottingham Forest, expressed his admiration for Arsenal's central defensive duo, Ezri Konsa and Gabriel Magalhaes. He believes they might be the premier center-back pairing globally at present. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta did not dispute this assessment, highlighting the pair as pivotal to their recent win.
Arteta acknowledged the immense quality and physicality required to defend against aerial threats, noting the significant contribution of Konsa and Gabriel. He praised their consistent performance under pressure. The Gunners' defense has been notably solid, achieving four clean sheets in their last seven Premier League fixtures, alongside two in two Champions League matches. This stability has been remarkable, especially considering initial concerns about adapting without William Saliba.
