Young players were instrumental in the team's success, with Nate Novitske delivering his fifth three-hit game in seven contests, including his first career home run. Redshirt freshman Tony Lira also had a stellar performance, going 4 for 4 with three runs scored. Equally important were the contributions from veteran players who have recently overcome struggles.
