Summary
- Andrew Vaughn is back hitting after hand surgery.
- A Trajekt machine simulates pitchers for practice.
- Vaughn and Chourio used the device during recovery.

Milwaukee Brewers' Andrew Vaughn is progressing in his recovery from surgery to address a fractured hamate bone in his left hand. Vaughn recently took batting practice on the field, marking a significant step since his March 30 operation. He is scheduled for a follow-up appointment with his surgeon next Tuesday.
Vaughn has been utilizing a Trajekt machine during his rehabilitation. This advanced batting cage technology simulates specific pitchers on a large screen, replicating their velocity and movement from the pitcher's exact release point. This allowed Vaughn and Jackson Chourio, who is also recovering from a fractured left hand, to train effectively.
During the Brewers' recent homestand, both players used the Trajekt machine to track pitches from the same starting pitchers their teammates faced in actual games. Vaughn shared that they spent two to three innings in the cage each game, swinging a modified bat to maintain their timing. He feels his hand strength has largely returned and is now focused on getting back into game shape.
