Separately, India's Krishna Jayasankar Menon set a new national record in the women's indoor shot put. Competing at the New Mexico Team Open 2026 meet in Albuquerque, USA, Menon recorded a personal best of 16.63m, surpassing her previous mark by 0.60m. The New Mexico Team Open is recognized as a World Athletics category 'F' event.
