Olympic Skater Alysa Liu Fears Airport Mob

Olympic gold medalist Alysa Liu recently recounted a distressing experience at an airport. She shared on social media that a crowd of fans awaited her upon arrival, encroaching on her personal space with cameras and demands for autographs. The situation escalated when an individual pursued her all the way to her vehicle.

Liu, who earned two gold medals at the recent Milan Cortina Games, expressed her unease and requested that fans refrain from such actions. She emphasized how unsettling and potentially threatening these encounters can be, as athletes do not know these individuals. Similar concerns have been voiced by other professional athletes, including WWE star Rhea Ripley, who detailed a tense airport situation in March 2023.
