Saints running back Alvin Kamara has been ruled out of Sunday's matchup against the Atlanta Falcons after suffering a knee injury. The injury occurred in the first quarter as Kamara was tackled while catching a pass, appearing to twist his knee. He briefly tested the injury on the sideline but did not return to the game.
Kamara was initially deemed questionable to return before being officially ruled out in the third quarter. This knee issue is a new concern for the 30-year-old, who has played through an ankle injury for much of the current season without missing a game.
Prior to his departure, Kamara had recorded three carries for 11 yards and two catches for 4 yards against the Falcons. His season totals stand at 471 rushing yards and one touchdown, complemented by 186 receiving yards.
