Alvarez agent drama: New rep secured?

Julian Alvarez is reportedly poised to sign with agent Pablo Barquero, a move that suggests a shift in his representation. Barquero, who notably managed Rodri's significant transfer from Manchester City to Barcelona after the World Cup 2026, is considered the preferred choice by Alvarez and his family. This development comes amidst ongoing speculation about Alvarez's future club. Barcelona has long been identified as Alvarez's dream destination. However, the club's Sporting Director, Deco, has recently stated that Alvarez is a player from the past, casting doubt on any potential renewed interest. Despite this, the Argentine forward remains keen on departing his current team, managed by Diego Simeone.
