11 Oct
Summary
- Brendan Allen defeated Christian Duncan via submission in the fifth round.
- The loss snapped Duncan's impressive five-fight winning streak.
- Duncan remains a dangerous striker despite the recent setback.
Brendan Allen secured a significant victory last night, Oct. 10, 2026, by submitting Christian Duncan in the fifth round of their UFC Vegas 122 main event. This marked the first stoppage loss of Duncan's professional career.
Duncan, a rising contender in the Middleweight division, had been on a five-fight winning streak, including wins over notable fighters. Allen's experience and grappling proved too much for Duncan as the fight progressed into the later rounds.
Despite the loss, the 31-year-old Duncan, who holds an 8-3 record in the Octagon, is still considered one of the division's most dangerous strikers. He is expected to drop in the rankings but his potential remains high.
