Allegri Vows to Stay at Milan Despite Fan Unrest

Massimiliano Allegri has publicly declared his desire to continue his tenure at AC Milan, aiming to 'stay at Milan for as long as possible.' This statement comes amid a challenging period for the Rossoneri, who have secured only one victory in their past five league fixtures. This dip in form has narrowed their lead over fifth-placed Roma to a mere three points with only three games remaining in the season.

Fan sentiment appears strained, with supporters organizing a protest against CEO Giorgio Furlani scheduled for the upcoming home game against Atalanta. Allegri acknowledged the fans' unwavering support throughout the season, stating, 'We can only thank them for now.' He stressed the importance of the upcoming match against Atalanta, describing it as tricky and requiring an 'excellent performance' to secure a much-needed win, especially at home where victories have been scarce.

Despite the recent scoring drought, with only one goal in the last five matches, and key absences like the injured Luka Modric and suspended Fikayo Tomori, Allegri remains optimistic. He stated, 'The destiny is in our hands,' highlighting the unpredictable nature of football. While acknowledging the significance of the upcoming game, he noted it would not mathematically determine Champions League qualification for Milan.

Addressing speculation about his future, including links to the Italy national team job, Allegri reiterated his focus on Milan. He stated that his priority is the club's performance for the remainder of the current season and the next. His primary objective, he emphasized, is to remain with AC Milan for as long as he can.
