Summary
- Coach Inzaghi fails to utilize Ruben Neves's strengths effectively.
- Neves is played out of his natural holding midfield position.
- This tactical misplacement limits Neves's influence on Al Hilal's attack.
Ruben Neves, a highly capable midfielder known for controlling game tempo and precise passing, is reportedly not being utilized effectively by Al Hilal's coach Simone Inzaghi. Inzaghi has experimented with Neves's position, frequently placing him outside his natural role as a holding midfielder.
This deployment strategy has meant Neves often finds himself deeper in defense, addressing build-out issues. Consequently, he is kept away from the critical attacking areas where his playmaking abilities can significantly impact the game and Al Hilal's offensive system.
